Last month, Border Guard Policewoman Hadas Malka, z’l, was stabbed to death while stationed at the Damascus Gate entrance to the Old City of Jerusalem. She was just 23 years old.
Two men have been indicted for negligent manslaughter as accessories to murder. Not surprisingly, they have connections to the Palestinian Authority. Both of them have been accused of driving the three terrorists to the edge of Jerusalem and arranging for their transport from the Palestinian Authority into Israel to carry out the deadly attack.
Hadas Malka, z’l was killed by terrorists who opened fire at people near Zedekiah’s Cave, and began stabbing at the Damascus Gate. Israeli police believe the terrorists embedded themselves in groups coming to pray for Ramadan, the holy month for Islam. The terrorists were killed by police who descended on the scene.
Mahmoud Abbas, leader of the Fatah faction of the Palestinian Authority, condemned the killing of the terrorists, calling it a “war crime.” Yes, one of leaders of the PA believes these terrorists should not have been killed, as though Israelis just randomly decided to kill them. This only highlights the mental instability of this group. They do not see their actions as wrong and see responses to the terror as “war crimes.” They refused to condemn the attack.
ISIS and Hamas both celebrated this terror attack. ISIS claimed it would not be the last. The Palestinian Authority, to whom the United States gives money, is engaging in behavior that ISIS and Hamas condone, celebrate, and wish to duplicate.
